- FOR TADKA - Heat ghee and add cumin seeds and hing.
- Then add garlic and onion and saute till it become light brown.
- Then add tomatoes and saute till they become soft. Then add red chilli powder to it. Mix well
- Pour this tadka in the cooked dal. And stir the dal for 5-6minutes till it becomes slightly thick.
- Serve dal hot with rice or jeera rice with roasted papad and a pickle or salad.
